Powered by a massive 121.6 cc 2-stroke engine producing 5.6 kW (7.6 hp), the MS 780 comes equipped with a 90 cm (36-inch) Duromatic/Rollomatic guide bar and a heavy-duty .404″ pitch 46 RM (Rapid Micro) semi-chisel saw chain. The semi-chisel tooth design retains its razor sharpness longer when cutting dense, dusty, or frozen timber while offering smooth feeding characteristics. It features a decompression valve, STIHL ElastoStart, manual fuel pump, multi-point anti-vibration system, and an adjustable high-output chain oil pump to keep long guide bars properly lubricated during deep cuts.
